Ordinary ladles under 100 tons are cast as a whole with agglomerated bauxite-based high alumina-spinel castable, with a one-time service life of 160-200 times, and a service life of 300-500 times after dotted peeling sleeve pouring.
The cement or self-combined high-purity aluminum-magnesium castable is mainly used for the wall and bottom of large ladle or refining ladle. By adding appropriate amount of magnesia and silica fume to the castable, the castable can maintain micro-expansion, good slag resistance and spalling resistance at different temperatures. Used in large ladle, life can reach more than 200 times. Corundum-spinel castable is usually used on the bottom of the bag, which can be made into prefabricated blocks of different shapes and sizes according to the requirements of users, and used in the bottom and wall of the bag. Because the amount of water added and the baking time can be controlled in the factory, the service life of the precast block can exceed that of the castable.
